“My name is Kelly and I met Julia at the London 2012 Olympics under the dire circumstance of my torn calf muscle!
Thank you so much to Julia for the treatment she provided, and mostly the support through my injury sustained at the Olympics. I was greatly encouraged by her advice, action plan and treatment, and was in fact able to return to the pitch for another game.
Nevertheless, the knowledge she shared with me and giving me a dedicated series of goals and rehab plan, at least gave me something to work with, to work towards, which in a win win situation gave me hope in the short term that I would make it back to the pitch, and a better understanding of the injury and how to best deal with this type of thing in the future.”
Suzanne Beaney, an international hockey player with 40 caps for Ireland and a member of Pegasus, Ireland’s most successful club team said: “Playing hockey at the highest level for over 16 years I am no stranger to injury, but more recently I found myself being troubled by a recurring calf problem. Julia successfully identified the cause of my injury, which was tightness in my back, and through a combination of treatment and recommending the use orthotics I have been pain free for almost a year. Through monthly appointments and following a programme of home rehab exercises, which Julia prescribed, I have been able to resume a full training and match schedule.”
