Susan joins our studio team as one of our highly qualified Pilates instructors.
She graduated from University College Dublin in 2003 with a degree in Veterinary Medicine. More recently, she has swapped four legs for two, and gained her qualification as a STOTT Pilates Matwork Instructor in 2017.
Having practised Pilates for over 15 years, she finds it a beautiful mind-body exercise, a perfect complement to today’s modern lifestyle. She firmly believes its true value comes from its adaptability and accessibility. From building a stronger athlete, to supporting new mums, or reintroducing safe movement for those recovering from back pain, a well taught Pilates programme can truly make a world of difference. It’s those success stories from clients that bring genuine joy to her teaching.
Beyond Pilates, Susan loves an active, outdoor lifestyle and can often be found exploring the beautiful Mourne Mountains. A former international level orienteer, Susan has overcome injury to compete at two World Orienteering Championships. She now spends time coaching, as well as running & orienteering, albeit more sedately than previously. Saturdays are parkrundays, and with over 150 parkruns to her name, she has her sights firmly set on that green 250 t-shirt. [hr]
