HCPC are a regulator set up to protect the public. To do this, they keep a register of health and care professionals who meet the HCPC standards for their training, professional skills, behavior and health.

This is the organisation which represents Physiotherapists in private practice to promote the highest standards of clinical physiotherapy practice.
Their Mission Statement is “To deliver professional and business support for members to enable us to develop more successfully as private practitioners”.
Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists
The AACP is a professional network affiliated with the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy. It represents physiotherapists interested in integrating acupuncture into physio for the management of pain and systemic conditions.
The association for Soft Tissue Therepists
Soft Tissue Therapy is the management, manipulation and rehabilitation of soft tissues of the body including muscles, tendons and ligaments. It is applicable not just to sports people but to anybody wishing to guard against or recover from a soft tissue injury. The SMA is the regulatory body within the UK.
